Description
Low sew floppy cat crochet pattern – a 20.5 inch long-legged amigurumi kitten made in soft velvet yarn, written in US terms for beginners. Digital PDF, nothing ships.
This floppy cat has long dangly legs and a heavy, slouchy body, so it drapes over a shelf edge, a chair arm, or a pair of arms. Everything except the ears and head is worked in one piece, which means very little sewing at the end – a good project if assembly is the part you usually dread.
FINISHED SIZE
About 20.5 inches tall measured from the top of the head to the tip of the tail, and 5.1 inches wide.
Your finished size will vary with your yarn and tension.
MATERIALS YOU’LL NEED
Bulky weight (Category 5) plush, velvet, or chenille yarn in gray, about 240 yards: Himalaya Velvet, Himalaya Dolphin Baby, or YarnArt Dolce all work.
A small amount of lightweight semi-cotton yarn in pink for the embroidered nose.
A 4.0 mm hook, stitch marker, sewing needle, scissors, fiberfill, and two 24 mm safety eyes.
PATTERN DETAILS
14-page PDF written in standard US crochet terminology, with step-by-step instructions and reference photos at the steps that usually cause trouble. Beginner to easy skill level – if you can single crochet, increase, decrease, and work in the round, you can make this cat. Low sew construction: only the ears and head are sewn to the body.

Handmade gifts, cat people, craft fairs and markets, shelf and nursery decor, and plush collections.
